National Technical Honor Society

Supporting STEM and CTE at OCC

Founded at Orange Coast College in 2015, our chapter strives to support both Career & Technical and STEM students to collaborate, better themselves, and help their community. The Mission of NTHS is to honor student achievement and leadership, award scholarships to encourage the pursuit of education, enhance career opportunities and cultivates excellence in today’s highly competitive, skilled workforce. By helping students be as prepared as they can for their classes, giving them opportunities to meet with employers, hear from experts in their field, and to get hands-on experience, joining NTHS is the best way to make yourself stand out.

Get Involved

What Can We Do For You?

Cohort Groups

Classes giving you difficulty? NTHS can arrange a cohort group to meet on a regular basis to study. Learning resources can be provided, and we can work with your professors to ensure you get as much help as you need to succeed.

Offer your time in exchange for volunteer hours. Volunteering doesn't just make your more attractive to potential employers and prospective schools, it can directly contribute to your eligibility for scholarships and awards, and active members are always top choices for leadership positions. Ask us about how you can get involved!

Meet With Experts

Throughout the year, we'll be inviting guest speakers to campus. Come hear what they have to say, ask them questions, and get to know them. They might be your employer one day! If there's someone you'd like to hear speak at our school, please don't hesitate to suggest them to us.

Preparing for and understanding scholarships can be difficult, but we offer resources to demystify the experience and strengthen your application.

Find an Internship

Getting some experience in the field is one of the best ways to find your place in the workforce. It's both an opportunity to get training outside of the classroom and to make contacts in your chosen profession. We will periodically notify members of internship and job opportunities.

Joining our board or becoming an officer is a great chance to gain leadership experience. Board positions are appointed, and are responsible for managing specific aspects of the society. Officer positions are elected, and oversee management of all chapter direction & resources. We're always looking for more active members who want to collaborate with us.
